We are excited to resume in-person worship in the sanctuary, starting at 11 am!
Please read the safety rules we will be following to ensure that everyone is safe.
Indoors In-person worship information
Vaccination against COVID-19 is not required for attendance.
Unvaccinated people older than 5 are asked to wear a face mask covering the nose and mouth at all times while inside the building. You are always welcome to wear a mask even if you are vaccinated.
Plan to arrive 15 minutes early. You will be asked to read and agree to abide by a list of health statements and agree to social distancing rules.
I am not experiencing 2 or more of the symptoms of COVID-19.
I have not been in contact with anyone experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 and/or I am fully vaccinated.
I have not tested positive for COVID-19 or are awaiting test results.
If I have tested positive for COVID-19, I have completed resolution of symptoms, or if asymptomatic, have completed 10 days of self-isolation.
I will immediately notify the pastor if I develop symptoms of COVID-19 within 5 days, and seek medical attention.
You must enter the sanctuary directly after signing in and you should take your seat promptly. When Communion is planned, please pick up the prepackaged elements as you enter the sanctuary.
Seating will be in every other pew. Persons in the same household should be seated together, and should maintain 6 feet of distance from other household groups.
Families with young children should sit at the ends of pews, so if kids need to leave they won’t climb past anyone. Alternatively, the Children’s Table will be set up in the Aldersgate room for children to play during the service.
Please remain in your assigned seat.
No handshaking or hugging. Elbow bumping is permitted.
Offerings may be dropped into baskets as people exit the sanctuary.
At dismissal time, keep in mind the social distancing requirements and exit the sanctuary and the building promptly. Rev. Matt and Lacey will be greeting people outside.
No nursery will be available, and there will be no reception in the Aldergate room.

Connect with Us
We'd love to hear from you! Fill out our connection form to tell us who you are, what you're looking for, and pass along any questions or prayer requests.
Kids during worship
We will not be offering nursery or children's church at this time. While we are worshiping in the sanctuary, children are invited to our kid's table in the Aldersgate Room for play and crafts with our volunteers. The Aldersgate Room is just off the sanctuary within view of the congregation, so children can rejoin the service at any time.
Location and Parking
We are located in the heart of the Grounds of the University of Virginia at 1901 Thomson Road, Charlottesville, Virginia, (at the corner of Emmet Street and Thomson Road).
Our campus is directly across from the U.Va. Central Grounds Parking Garage and Memorial Gym, two blocks south of the intersection of Rt. 250 (Ivy Road) and Rt. 29 Business (Emmet Street).
On Sundays, parking is available to members and visitors in the parking lot adjacent to the Church.
Parking may also be found on nearby streets and in the University of Virginia Central Grounds Parking Garage just across Emmet Street from the Church. Special Note: If you return to your car before 1 p.m. and take your bulletin from our worship service for the attendant, your parking at the garage will be free.
Children are warmly welcomed and encouraged to be full participants in worship. Age-appropriate materials are provided.
Our facility is fully handicapped accessible, with a ramp from the parking lot into the sanctuary, accessible restrooms, and an elevator for access to all levels of the buildings. Our sanctuary is equipped with a hearing loop for those who need assistance, and we provide large print hymnals and Bibles on request.
