Why be baptized? God says that through baptism, children and adults receive many blessings, including the Holy Spirit which strengthens and gives faith, new life, and forgiveness.
In our United Methodist tradition we are privileged to receive new Christians to the faith through the sacrament of Holy Baptism. The sacrament is available to all people of any age and takes place in the context of Sunday morning worship.

On Sunday, December 29, 2019 we welcomed in baptism first cousins Aerietta Joy Gresko and Everly Ann Smith into our Faith Family. Congratulations to the proud parents and grandparents.
On March 19, 2019, the Church Council of WMUMC created a new policy that reads as follows:
The Pastor of Wesley Memorial will not pronounce marriages for any couple in our community until the General Conference of the United Methodist Church changes the Book of Discipline to allow LGBT couples to be married in the UMC. All marriages performed for the Wesley Memorial UMC community will be pronounced by lay members of the congregation.
Despite the church’s current Discipline, lay members of Wesley Memorial UMC will perform LGBT weddings. For questions, or to express interest in being married, contact Pastor Isaac.
